ScriptIt is an XTension to QuarkXPress that provides a much needed interface for running OSA compliant (i.e. AppleScripts) from within QuarkXPress. The ScriptPlayer palette allows you to load OSA scripts into it for later playback. With scripting and the ScriptPlayer many repetitive tasks are now just a click away. Probably the most powerful feature of the ScriptPlayer is its ability to chain scripts together. An example of this could be a script to create a document, one to fit window, and a third to hide guides. The three scripts can be linked together and executed as a single command from the script player.
  4. ScriptIt also offers scripters a convenient way to name elements in XPress which then can be referenced from a script by their given name. If scripting is something you are interested in, then the ScriptIt XTension is an essential tool for you.
